One would assume that most of the landlords in these areas don't find that they need to use paid advertising or venture very far past the bulletin board at the local store...

Here are a few ideas for finding a rental in some of the small towns in the area:

• Elmira Independent Newspaper: www.elmiraindependent.com/classifieds.php
• Woolwich Observer Newspaper: www.woolwichobserver.com/classifieds.php
• New Hamburg Independent newspaper. I notice that their classified section on line is the site owned by their parent company. You might have more success if you picked up a copy of the newspaper in New Hamburg (at a local grocery store). The website is www.newhamburgindependent.ca
• There is a newspaper “The Ayr News” in the town of Ayr. It appears that a visit to town is needed to pick up a copy, they don’t seem to have a website…
• Fergus-Elora News Express: www.centrewellington.com/classifieds.php

Probably the most effective method of finding a rental home is to take a drive out to the country and visit a store or post office and just start asking around... at worst, youll have enjoyed a nice trip in the countryside. Who knows? maybe you will get lucky and find the perfect place.
